Season of Sharing Fund
Since 1986, the San Francisco Chronicle has partnered with the Season of Sharing Fund to care for and nourish San Francisco Bay Area neighbors, raising over $16 million to date for its 2025—2026 campaign. Each year, the fund provides housing support to 5,000 families and individuals and more than 4 million meals to people facing hunger.

Giving Tuesday
Hearst colleagues connect with each other and with the communities where they live and work to spread kindness an make a difference. Every year on Giving Tuesday, colleagues pay it forward. In 2024, colleagues donated hundreds of hours of service to a range of nonprofits working to advance causes ranging from food and shelter insecurity to children's literacy to job-readiness.

Fitch Group
School Build
Since 2023, Fitch has partnered with buildOn to construct five primary schools across Senegal, Guatemala, and Nepal. These schools now provide quality education to 660 students and 541 adult learners, helping to create brighter futures and stronger communities. Fitch has continued to support worldwide education, distributing more than 11,000 schoolbags to children across the globe.

Career Discovery Week
As part of Career Discovery Week, students from DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx worked with colleagues in Hearst Tower. Career Discovery Week is a joint effort by the education department and the Partnership for New York City giving students the chance to leave the classroom and visit offices of companies where they may work.

Every year the Hearst Connecticut Media Group volunteers at the Connecticut Foodshare, which has delivered over 40 million fresh meals to families in Connecticut every year.

Share the Hope at Hearst Ranch
The Share the Hope fundraiser held at Hearst Ranch raises funds for local cancer patients at the Hearst Cancer Resource Center (HCRC) at French Hospital in San Luis Obispo, California. Hosted by Stephen and Barbara Hearst, Share the Hope has raised $6.1 million since the HCRC opened in 2008.
